Unsync Streaming Song Between Iphone and Mac

Can anyone point to a way to unsync the streaming song or podcast between my iphone and mac?   I want to keep separate what I'm listening to on each device. 

If I choose "forget device" for the mac, from my phone will I still be able to log in from the the same account and listen to separate songs?

Hey @chrisdempsey, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

As of now, you can only use one account to play on one device at a time. However, instead of forgetting a device, you can use one of the premium features: offline listening. 

That way, you can stream on one device while the other would be on offline mode, which will break the sync. 

Do note that this will not exclude your listening activity to influence your recommendations. For that, have a look at these articles: Private Listening | Your Taste Profile
