My Question or Issue
I've been using Spotify Desktop app for a while on my Linux desktop. About 1 or 2 weeks ago I realized that I can't use search bar. When I start to type anything, after the pressing of 1st character I immediately get a message in the "main" window: "An error occurred. Try to refresh the page".
I can play any song from my playlists, the app offers new songs - I can play them too. Only the search that does not work. On my phone or in browser (open.spotify.com) I can use the search function without any issues.
Anyone has an idea, what could be wrong here? Support couldn't help me.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I solved this on my Linux Mint installation by using the Software Sources to add the missing keys, then the update manager found an update which I applied and it all came back to life.
Thanks,
unfortunately I already used that method, and it seems like I have the newest version - despite this it does not work.
Note, that CTRL+k works... (read in some other topic).

Thanks @the_bertrum, that was the solution. Spotify changed the pgp of their repository.
I imported the new key and update manager found the new version, where the search works again.
Thanks again!
I'm on Kubuntu 24.04 and am not sure how to update the key or where I would find the new key if I knew how. Could anyone provide me with more general instructions on where to find the new key, and if possible how to update it (although I'm sure I could figure the last bit out if needs be).
